1:1 Aides and Paraeducators
Our one-to-one aide and classroom paraeducator services include high quality supervision and training to improve the efficacy of our contracted services. These support staff focus on fostering independence in students, ensuring personalized support for their unique needs and goals.
FBA and BIP Services
Our FBA program, led by BCBA experts, provides rigorous assessments and tailored behavior intervention plans to support student development. An actionable and data-driven BIP is then created with effective strategies to address behaviors and promote positive outcomes.​

Our Mission
Who We Are
On Our Own, Inc. is a dedicated non-public agency (NPA) and non-profit that contracts exclusively with local school districts to provide specialized behavioral support and one-to-one paraeducator services for K-12 and adult students. We provide specialized behavioral support for students with developmental, learning, emotional, and behavior challenges in Vallejo and surrounding districts. We support students in both public and charter schools.
Established in 1983, we are committed to fostering student independence and enhancing the educational experience of the students we support. Our agency's name, "On Our Own", was chosen because it reflects the underlying philosophy of the services we provide to our clients, with a focus on promoting independence and self-sufficiency. Our expectations are always directed at empowering those we work with to achieve goals at the highest level of their individual ability.
Our Approach
Our methodology is powered by a team of experienced professionals, including our Directors, Program Coordinator, and in-house Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). We offer data-driven services including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and highly specialized staff behavioral training.
